Talk Roswell Action Committee held its monthly meeting on October 27 at the Sally Port Inn with Billy Wood as chairman.
Wood informed the group that TRAC has been incorporated as a non-profit organization. He announced that the four board members are Billy Wood, Toni Wiebenga, Kim Wood and Randy Wiebenga.
State Representative Dennis Kintigh spoke about the State Special Session on the budget crisis. He stated that state revenues are down 20% and he foresees big tax increases to make up for those lost revenues. Kintigh is against increasing taxes and urged members to write or call their Representatives and the Governor to inform them we are in favor of cutting more government programs and are opposed to possible tax increases.
Rep. Kintigh stated that he will have a Town Hall Meeting here in Roswell on November 10th. The meeting will be held at the Grace Community Church, in the Children’s building. It will be a come and go event from 4:30 to 6:30 with Rep. Kintigh listening to people’s concerns and answering their questions.

We think it's time for us, the citizens of Roswell, to become more involved and have a say as to how we are governed. We need to make sure that we have a city with low crime and the protection we need. We elect our government and they work for us, the citizens.
We believe in Restoring Ethical Leadership and Accountability to Roswell. However, we realize that having the desire for this to take place, in itself is not enough. This is only one half of our job. The other half is helping the citizens become more informed, getting involved and voting in all local elections.
Our goal is to move Roswell forward in a positive manner that will serve all of the citizens in the best possible way simultaneously.
