Candidates are not the only ones who have a public duty. Citizens need to stay informed, make correct decisions and vote. Since most citizens in Roswell do not vote, most deserve the office holders they get.

You're absolutely right! I was only thinking of it in terms of elected officials, but citizens certainly have an obligation to be informed and involved, as you stated.

I really didn't realize that until recently (darn you, Billy! ;)) and don't think many people fully realize it either. They are so busy with their day to day business and don't consider it necessary to be involved in the business of the city in which they live. I understand that thought process because I used to be the same way.

Apathy is very prominent here in Roswell and I'm hoping that will change soon. Not sure it will, but I'm hoping....
