A [Thread] is when you start a new topic. Go to the forum where you want to post in and Click on New Thread.

A [Post] is when you reply to a topic that someone else started. When you are reading a topic that someone else started and you want to make a comment Click on Post Reply

You can start a New Thread sometimes call a New Post. When you post replies you are always commenting to someone elses Thread.

Try it there is not anything you can hurt start a new thread like, go to forum [New Members Introduce Yourself] click on New Thread and for the Title put [This is a test, Hello to the community or something like that] look at what others have done. I will see it and I can always delete it for you. Let me know if you need more help.

Thanks :D for becoming a member of the community.

When someone votes in a poll and not post it brings the time forward but you were the last one posted so your user name is there.

I guess a previous answer is the reason everytime I log on and there is a poll being conducted it says I am not allowed to vote in that poll. Have I voted in all those polls already? I'd like to vote no several times for Judy Stubbs, Bob Maples and Steve Henderson.

Also ... not to be a whiner and complainer but why do I have to keep repeatedly logging in before I see my name at the top as logged in?
Am I unique with that problem?

Thanks.

Have you ever heard the term 'time out' used when parents discipline there kids. Well we have that same feature here as well when our members act up.

There is a time out after a period of time to release unused resources on the server.

If you check the little box the next time to log on, the system will remember you and you won't have that problem any more. However, your 'New Posts' will be refreshed because it assumes you have viewed all the current post every time you log on, manually or automatically. I have requested this to be changed, but there hasn't been a solution yet.
