Roswell Police were called to a residence on Powell Place to investigate a burglary. According to reports, the victim told police that someone had entered the house and taken approximately 6200 dollars worth of electronic equipment. Taken were a 52” television, a stereo system and a desktop computer. The investigating officers determined there was no sign of forced entry but the homeowner said that she was sure she had locked the house when she left. There are no suspects at this time.
Officers were dispatched to Lawrence Brother’s IGA at 900 West 2nd on the report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival, officers met with the manager as well as the suspected shoplifter. The value of the shoplifted items was 155 dollars. According to the Police Report, officers arrested 19 year old Maria Delgado of Portales for shoplifting. In addition, police charged Delgado with unlawful carrying of a deadly weapon, selling or giving alcoholic beverages to a minor and possession of alcoholic beverages by a minor.
Officers responded to Imagine That Scrapbooking at 317 North Main on the report of criminal damage. According to reports, officers met with an employee of the store who told them someone had damaged a front window of the store. Officers observed what appeared to be paintball damage as well as a hole in the window caused by what appeared to be a BB. The report was filed and there are no suspects.
