I must be tired. The thread title should be View 1st unread post. LOL
I am a member of several forums and usually see a pretty handy feature. I haven't seen the feature here. When I go to the list of threads there is an option to "view 1st unread post". This is very handy as when you came back to the thread you have previously read, you can click on it and skip over the stuff you have already read. I guess it keeps a cookie and knows what you have read. It makes it nice when you go back to the same thread over and over. I don't know if this software allows for that option, but if it does, we should get it turned on. Just a thought. Not complaining by the way, just trying to improve the sight.

I'm sure the option is there. Already using the unread thread option on the home page. However, it is set to mark everything read when you sign off. Would be nice to also have a mark all read option for threads and post that you are not interested in. Also, would be nice to have a user defined option so that we could ID only the threads that we am interested in. All these features are standard in email systems.
I use the ignore option on many threads and post once I know where there are going.

The view first unread option has always been here, see image below.

Yep, you click on the topic and if you have unread posts, the view first unread post button is above the first post in the thread. If you have read them all, the button doesn't appear.
Thanks, Billy - I had forgotten it was there. I never use it, because I click on the last post and scroll up until I find a post I haven't read. Of course, I'm on here every day, so it's not hard to find my first unread post.
I can see how the view first unread post button would be easier for those who are only on here once in awhile.

Hey thanks Billy. That helps a bunch. I had never noticed it up there. On the other forms it is right on the main page that posts all the recently updated threads so as you open the page it goes right to it (not that that is any better, I just was looking in the wrong place). Now that I know where to look, I am all set. Thanks!

different versions of the software have things in different places. Here is a Sneak Preview (http://www.talkroswell.com/preview/) of the new Talk Roswell website. You may try it out but any reg, posting, blogs or chats will be deleted when the site is ready to go online. Read the FAQ section it will help you learn how to use the website.
