Roswell Police investigated a criminal damage complaint in the 900 block of South Mulberry. According to reports someone slashed all 4 tires on the victim's vehicle. The victim told officers that they have no idea who may have slashed the tires.
While inspecting their vehicle, officers found a small black bag containing a white crystal like substance. The substance was tested and proved to be methamphetamine.
A vehicle burglary was reported in the 200 block of South Kentucky. The report indicates someone took a variety of tools and equipment from the bed of the victim's pickup truck totaling approximately 579 dollars in value. There aree no suspects in this matter.
Officers were kept busy over the weekend investigating a number of burglaries at a storage business on North Main. According to reports, police were called on at least 6 seperate reports of units being broken into. Officers collected evidence at the scene but there are no suspects at this time.
Officers are investigating a couple of shooting complaints on East Bonnie in Roswell. In the first incident someone shot at a house in the 300 block hitting the house with several bullets. Officers were also called to the same block where someone shot out the back window of a parked vehicle. Nether of the victims were able to identify a suspect in the shootings.
Early Saturday morning, officers responded to an alarm at Monzano Plaza in the 100 block of West 3rd. When officers arrived, they found a security window which had the bolts removed. Officers heard noises coming from inside the building and had to call for a person responsible for the building to give them access. Once inside, they were able to locate 39 year old Sylvester Torres hiding in a utility closet. Torres was arrested and charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools.
