By hole in the wall, I mean a restaurant or snack bar that many might drive past, and not realize they were open and/or a food establishment.

"Cecelio's" has the best Mexican food in Roswell.
"Burritos and More" has the best breakfast burritos.
And nothing cures a hangover better than an Allsup's Burrito (or three) with a couple packets of their "taco sauce" smeared on it...

Eeewww, Alsup's burritos - we call those "gut grenades"!!! My husband and son love 'em - they always pick some up when they go out hunting.....:yucky:
I don't think I've ever eaten at Cecilo's - I have heard the food is good there. The address is 107 Twin Diamond Road - that's off North Main, I believe.
I don't really know any hole in the wall places - there is that sandwich shop over on West Country Club (by all the doctor's offices) that Oanaya mentioned awhile back, in another thread. He said the sandwiches were great there. I've not tried it yet.

If i move to North Carolina, I will have to get my brothers to send me Alsups Burritos, and Chews west "Fish". In return I will send real BarBQ NC style.:naughty:

I haven't had a hangover in years ... but if I get a craving I can always have a friend in Abilene bring some over - that's just a few hours away.
And the BBQ in Austin is as good as it gets!

Cowboy Cafe- Owner Terry Johnson. Great food, great prices, off the beatin path though. Never had a bad lunch there yet, and have had the owner Terry come out and asked if I wanted more food on him after seeing me clean my plate. He said he felt awful for not sending out enough food. Cant get service like this anymore.

Ya know, I've seen that little place (La Posta on Delaware), but have never eaten there. It's been there a long time, so they must be doin' something right.
Is the Cowboy Cafe over on east 2nd street? I thought that place was closed.

Yes on East 2nd Street. Across from the Farm Store, and use the same parking lot as Zia guns.

Munchies- Corner of Richardson and 1st Street. Only had their Philly cheese steak. It was good, kind of high price I thought. Anyone else know anything??

I thought Munchie's did have a good selection. Their baked pasta dish was good, and if you like their type of Pizza (not my cup of tea; I go for deeper saucier cheesier ones)..
However, if you don't like Mushrooms, Bleu Cheese, and Bread/Butter Pickle Chips on your Greek Salad (man, it was bad) steer clear of that one.

Julie's Place at Hobbs/Union. Food wasnt bad, had the taco's which you cant screw up, and then the chalupa plate and a green chile cheese burger. No complaints on the taste yet. Affordable prices too.

I agree RPDCOP, Cowboy Cafe has good lunches, don't know their hours of operation, tho.

I'm not sure if it moved or they opened a new La Posta at the old Nuthin' Fancy. I think it's just a new one.

How about that Main Street Cafe?
It truly qualifies for hole-in-the-wall status. No sign (that you would notice, anyway), and in the abandoned Bell gas station next door to Portofino's.
Covered parking, an improving interior, but no signage. Maybe they're working on that.

It really must be a hole in the wall - I've never seen or heard of it. Is it new or old??

I've never been to Fat's, but I've seen several good reviews for the place, so I guess I'm gonna have to go there sometime. :smk3:
