Billy Wood would look good in Mr. Henderson's council seat.
PLEEZE Mr. Henderson .....unglue yourself from city hall, enjoy your city retirement and don't run again. State and ABQ employees take pay-cuts and mandatory days off to stay within budget. Cut costs. Here it's the usual tax and spend. |

Billy has gotten my vote twice, and will a third time. He would get my vote no matter who he is running against, but voting against Henderson is icing on the cake. I want that man OUT! He has been involved with the city for waaaaay too long. I have a feeling Henderson will not run if he has to run against Billy head to head without two spoilers in the race.
I like Lytle too, and hopefully he can be convinced to wait the next election out, get a little more name recognition and beat Craig. My biggest fear is that Billy and Lytle will be on the ballot together again and allow Henderson to win. Now we know who my candidate is, who is yours? Who is going to run against Maples and Stubbs? They gotta go! We have some very bright people on this site, and I am sure some of you live in their wards. If you are not interested in running, I bet you know some good people who could be convinced. Lets get the next campaign started now, it is never too early to start. Just imagine the Roswell city council without Henderson, Maples, and Stubbs. The next election could completely transform this city. |

Henderson, Maples and Stubbs are an anchor around the neck of this city. We can't move forward with them there.

This has not been confirmed. It is my understanding as of this Thursday July, 15, 2010 Councilor J. Stubbs will be unemployed, her current employer is:
Community, Business and Rural Development Representative NM Economic Development Department www.goNM.biz You may want to update your contact info for her: judystubbs@cableone.net Cell# 575-626-0207

Ms. Stubbs is a master of finding businesses getting gov'mt grants or some gov'mt agency and finding herself a job there. Now governments are broke so there are less grants and some agencies are cutting positions. There's a city gov'mt job coming up at city hall that she'll probably apply for.

What job at city hall is opening up?

City manager.
Jim is correct she will probably apply, but there may well be a revolution in Roswell if she is selected. |

Probably why she wanted the Master's degree requirement to stay in the job description.

I think they dumped that requirement.

Mrs. Stubbs involves herself in many city matters. In the past when the mayor has awarded city employees longevity pins she's made it a point to be there and shake all the hands much to the disgust of some. She keeps getting elected in Ward 3 despite what seems to be a majority dislike of her citywide. As long as she is on the council she'll be a problem for Roswell in my opinion. BUT ... so long as a majority of Ward 3 voters vote for her we'll have her to contend with regretfully.

Be assured she and Henderson will be working behind the scenes from their entrenched city hall positions to make that happen. Maples may be too busy with his new church.

I think its a given that Henderson & Friends will find others to split that ticket in case Billy runs against him.

Most people in Roswell have no idea who she is nor do they care if she what job she gets. Of the population of Roswell maybe half can tell you who the city manager is. A few hundred people decide how this City is run. A majority of the people that did vote like her and her union busting ways. If she runs again I wonder if the Roswell Police Officers Association will be as forgiving as they were this election.

Ms. Stubbs also has a pretty shaky track record. Almost EVERYTHING she has been involved with has either gone broke, needed to be bailed out, or simply disappeared and faded away. She had her sights set on being a lobbyist in Santa Fe a few years ago - trouble was, no one would hire her because of her reputation and her total lack of ability to be influential (kind of an important trait for a lobbyist) because no one takes her very seriously.
