Presidential candidate Romney has a net worth of between 150 -200 million dollars. That was his answer to a question he got from someone at a talk with some voters. I think he said more or less than 150 -200 million dollars.

President Obama has a net worth of about 8 million dollars. If he's defeated in his run for re-election hell get a lifetime pension of about $200,000 per yr, money ($150,000) to help pay for his transition to private life , office space and staff. He and his wife will have lifetime secret service protection, they can be treated at military hospitals and draw travel expenses.

Interesting concept. Any thoughts?

Brumley envisions it as a place where people developing new technologies could run large-scale experiments in real-world conditions that — for practical, financial, bureaucratic or safety reasons — they wouldn’t be able to do elsewhere. “People can go there and experiment without restrictions,” he says

A 1997 tax law authorized a child tax credit. Illegal aliens claim these credits for their children here and in Mexico. The IRS administers this law and mails the checks to illegal aliens. If they don't have a SSN the IRS gives them an IRS#. In 2010 appr, 4 BILLION dollars was paid out by the IRS as a child tax credit. Some people were claiming 10 - 12 children living in Mexico and getting a child tax credit of about $1,800 for each child they claimed. The IRS has no way of knowing the number of children claimed is true or not, especially for what seems like a large amount of children living in Mexico.

Are we so naive when we write these laws and regulations that we can't reasonably expect great abuse of a law like this. Congress writes the law, the IRS implements it, and Billions of US tax dollars are given to low income illegal aliens claiming this child tax credit.

We have met the source of fraud and abuse and it's our congress and federal bureaucracies who must know we're being cheated but keep cutting the checks nonethele

From the 4/29/12 Las Cruces Sun News;

"ARMY'S LARGEST SOLAR ARRAY BREAKS GROUND"
(Not the complete article)

" Clearing of the solar farm site has begun and solar panel construction began in April 2012 with an estimated completion date of December 2012. The ground mounted solar array will have an annual savings of $875,989 while the solar carport will save $54,096 annually. The total cost of both projects is $16,800,000. with a cost of $3.77 per watt."

"The solar project is being funded within an Energy Savings Performance Contact utilizing an Energy Services Agreement with the Huntsville Army Corp of Engineers has awarded Siemens on behalf of WSMR. Under the awarded task order, Siemens will maintain and operate the equipment and will provide the energy to WSMR. This agreement is for a period of 25 years. The simple payback is 18.1 years. The energy being provided will cost the same that WSMR is currently paying the local utility company which is a blended rate of $.08/KWH."

My question, Is the goverment going to invest $16.8 million dollars of taxpayer money so that Siemens can sell WSMR power at $.08/KWH that they are already paying $.08KWH to the local company? If so where does the savings of $930,087.00 per year come from? Does a simple payback mean that there is not any interest paid on the $16,800,000.00 ? If so where does that money come from?

Is Siemens going bear the cost of construction and WSMR going to pay them just the $.08KWH for 25 years? I don't think so, Just the interest alone on the $16,800.00 will eat up most, if not all, of the $23,252,175.00 estimated revenues and that does not include operating and maintaining the equipment.
